I bought this umbrella a second time after I lost the first one. It's a great umbrella. My son's bus comes at 6:15 am, and I like that the reflective band makes him more visible to drivers. He likes that he doesn't have to fumble around to close it. I don't think he's ever used the flashlight, honestly, but I'm fine with that- I like knowing it's there if he needs it.

I personally purchased the umbrella since I knew that I would be getting home late and constantly fumble with my keys to unlock my front door. Therefore, the push on light at the end of the umbrella handle is pretty useful. There’s two light settings: white light and rainbow light. The light stays on until you manually push it to turn it off. I do worry that the light bulb at the end of the handle may break if there is constant impact on it or dropping of the umbrella since the bulb is made of plastic but it’s held up well so far.
As far as the umbrella in the rain, it’s a solid umbrella. I haven’t used it in extreme downpour or high winds or anything like that, just normal light to mild wind and rain and it’s been fine. I’ve been using it to keep in my everyday bag just in case it starts to rain. It seems sturdily constructed for the most part.
